Happy Thanksgiving!!

Wow!  It has been a busy few weeks at St. John's.  We have enjoyed Halloween parties, Eaglefest, Chapel at St. John's Episcopal Church, Independent Reader Awards, 1st grade's Thanksgiving chapel program, and reading Thanksgiving books about Clifford in the library.

     

      St. John's is a wonderful place!  

I am so thankful for the opportunity to watch these children grow educationally, spiritually, and socially.

Book Fair Fun!!

Thank you!  Thank you!  Thank you!!  Our 2013 Scholastic Book Fair was a huge success again this year - thanks to you!  We had a great time throughout the week with all of the students, parents, families, and friends.  Thanks again for supporting our library.  Happy reading!!

Family Night at the Book Fair!!

Please join us at the Scholastic Book Fair Thursday, September 12th from 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm for Family Night.  It will be an afternoon of great books, delicious refreshments and awesome door prizes!  See you at the fair!!

The Scholastic Book Fair has arrived!

Welcome to the 2013 Scholastic Book Fair!  All of the books are on display and ready to find a new home on your bookshelf!!  

The students are very excited and have made their wish lists.  The lists should have been sent home Friday in their backpack.  

Our K3 classes had a great time looking at all of the books.  

Please join us for our special events during the fair.

Tuesday, September 10th is Grand People Day from 9 am - 11 am.

Family Night is Thursday, September 12th from 3 pm - 6 pm.

Our SJDS teachers have also made their classroom wish list.  Below is an example of the classroom wish list that will be sent home in Monday's take home folder. 

Please look at the schedule below and shop with your child during his/her Library time or buying time.  I will also be in the gym each day after school until 3:30. 

I truly appreciate the support you provide our library each year through the book fair and our birthday book program.  We have the best library around thanks to you!

Accelerated Reader Info

Hello St. John's Family!

I will be administering the Star Tests for Reading and Math on Wednesday, August 21st and Thursday, August 22nd.

Test results will be sent home Monday, August 26th.  

All Accelerated Reader goals will be in the computer by Friday afternoon.  

If you need help looking up A.R. book or test information, please visit arbookfind.com.  I will add a link to this site on our new school website soon.
